The “Buzz”

The main thing about a Café Bliss event is the “buzz” it generates. We specialize in upscale, gourmet foods whose presentation elicits many oohs and ahhs, and this appreciation will only deepen as your guests begin to eat. Now entering our thirteenth year in the catering business, we pride ourselves on this buzz, and our best advertising continues to be word of mouth.

A Different Kind Of Caterer

We are not your typical restaurant/catering company. We do not have a list of pre-fab meals with pre-set prices. Instead, we work closely with you in the planning stages, brainstorming to come up with a menu and game plan for your event that draws heavily on your own tastes and inclinations. It’s your party, after all — and it should be all about you.

Our Food

Our food has won rave reviews, both in the press and from our guests. Our focus, in terms of cuisine, is on international and ethnic foods, but we also do a great job with more traditional menus. No matter what the dish, we will use the cleanest, healthiest ingredients we can find; because we have a restaurant, we view our catering operation as a great marketing tool, and often we’re able to attract lots of new customers as a result. Your event gives us the chance to shine, and we take that opportunity seriously.

Our Specialty

Our specialty is delicious, freshly made food in outdoor or unusual settings; we’ve catered parties in some of the most beautiful spots you can imagine, from a clam bake for 200 people on a bluff overlooking Lake Michigan to a wedding reception in the stately old auditorium of the Traverse City Opera House.

We’re Connected

We’ve done this a few times. We can help you figure out everything you’re going to need to think about, with suggestions and referrals for every aspect of your event. We’ve worked in many of the locally available rental halls, bed and breakfasts and resorts, and know what’s possible to do in each of them. We’ve worked with all the area rental companies and have a fix on tents and chairs, china, glassware, linens, and portable dance floors. We know of great local bands, fine photographers, and exceptional florists.

Pricing

There are many factors to consider when pricing your event; the menu, of course, the dining “style” — buffet, family, or full table service — whether or not you’ll need on-site chefs, alcohol service, and any special equipment needs. After a preliminary planning discussion with you, we will price your event and provide you with a written quote. A fifty percent deposit will secure your date, with the balance due at the conclusion of your event.
